Reptiles Observation

up to 3 people

BETWEEN THE COASTAL DUNES OF MINDELO AND THE ROCKY SLOPES OF AROUCA, LIVE SOME OF THE MOST FASCINATING REPTILES IN PORTUGAL. EACH LOCATION, WITH ITS UNIQUE LANDSCAPE, REVEALS A MOSAIC OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DISCREET OBSERVATION OF THESE ANIMALS.

For two to three days, we explore contrasting habitats: from the sandy terrain and humid forests of the Mindelo Ornithological Reserve or the granite outcrops and recessed valleys of the Arouca region. These outings are designed to maximize the chances of encountering lizards, snakes and geckos in full activity, always with an ethical and respectful approach. Participants learn to identify species, understand their behaviors and adopt silent approach techniques to minimize disturbance. These tours are perfect for those who want to get in touch with Portuguese herpetofauna while exploring two of the most beautiful natural regions in northern Portugal.
