AMONG THE SILENT WOODS AND MEDITERRANEAN FORESTS, WHERE THE LIGHT FILTERS THROUGH LEAVES AND BRANCHES, WE TRY TO PHOTOGRAPH THE BIRDS IN A DISCREET WAY. PORTUGAL, WITH ITS VARIETY OF ECOSYSTEMS, OFFERS UNIQUE CONDITIONS FOR BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY.
Portugal offers a diversity of habitats that make the country an excellent destination for bird photography. From the dense Atlantic and Mediterranean forests, where species such as the spotted woodpecker move discreetly between the trunks and branches, to the vast estuaries of the Tagus, Sado or Ria Formosa, which are home to thousands of aquatic, wading and migratory birds throughout the year. The photo shoots are carefully planned to coincide with the best periods of bird activity and take place in strategic locations that guarantee good light conditions, accessibility and tranquility. Participants learn fundamental techniques for bird photography, including effective use of telephoto lenses, quick camera settings, field positioning, and an ethical approach to minimizing disturbance. These tours are ideal for those who want to improve their technical skills and deepen their contact with Portuguese birdlife, in a rich and inspiring natural environment.
