PHOTOGRAPHIC SCHEDULE OF A DAY IN THE FIELD

Nature photography does not have a style, but a mixture of styles. Where we can incorporate the most used techniques in other photography themes and mix with wildlife and nature photography. It's where we can express ourselves without worrying about breaking rules or taboos. Where it is possible to mix all the colors of the rainbow in a single photograph, while also photographing one of the species that inhabits this planet.

With the diversity of wildlife that exists in Portugal, it is difficult to identify an exact model of the timeline for each type of photograph. However, there are ideal moments that we can coordinate to get the most out of a day well spent in the countryside.

BIRDS

Ideal Duration  - 3 hours
Time of day to perform
  - Sunrise

ideal location  – See spaces to photograph

YouTube videos  How to Photograph: Coastal Birds , How to Photograph: Build and photograph in a Fountain ,  How to Photograph: Hidrohide in an Alentejo pond ,  How to Photograph: Bee -eaters,  How to photograph: Waterbirds  and  How to Photograph: Kingfisher .

Recommendation  – Sunrise is the best time to photograph birds, it allows us to set up the shelter before the first rays of light and start shooting shortly after there is light. In this way they are used to the presence of the shelter and do not find it strange.

REPTILES

Ideal Duration  - 2 hours
Time of day to perform
  - Lunch time
ideal location
  – See spaces to photograph

Recommendation  – Right after leaving the bird shelter it's time to look for some reptiles, you can choose to do it before or right after lunch. The idea is not to be too hot, but that spring heat. These times are perfect to look for and photograph the various species of reptiles that inhabit Portugal.

BIRDS

Ideal Duration  - 2 hours
Time of day to perform
  – Early afternoon

ideal location  – See spaces to photograph

YouTube videos  How to Photograph: Coastal Birds , How to Photograph: Build and photograph in a Fountain ,  How to Photograph: Hidrohide in an Alentejo pond ,  How to Photograph: Bee -eaters ,  How to photograph: Waterbirds  and  How to Photograph: Kingfisher .

Recommendation  – Before the sun completely disappears there is always a space of time where it is still possible to photograph birds, when it is about an hour before sunset some birds end up heading to their sleeping places.
