REPTILES FIND ONE OF THE ONLY SANCTUARIES IN THE MINDELO RESERVE, WHERE DIFFERENT HABITATS, FROM STONE WALLS, DUNES, FORESTS, AND WET AREAS, ALLOW THEM TO THRIVE AND BE OBSERVED.
During reptile watching tours in the Mindelo Reserve, participants will have the opportunity to explore a variety of habitats, including dune areas, forests and swamps. Observers will learn to identify different species of reptiles, such as lizards, snakes and tortoises, as well as understand their behaviors, adaptations and the ecological role they play. Equipped with binoculars and field guides, participants will be taken to the best locations within the reserve to maximize sighting opportunities. In addition to practical sessions in the field, the tours include educational moments about the conservation of reptiles and the threats they face, highlighting the importance of preserving their natural habitats. This program is ideal for nature enthusiasts who want to deepen their knowledge of reptiles and enjoy an engaging and educational experience in a preserved natural environment.
