Snakes in Mindelo

up to 6 participants

REPTILE PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDES A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR NATURE ENTHUSIASTS TO EXPLORE THE DIVERSITY OF REPTILES INHABITING THIS REGION. IT IS POSSIBLE TO OBSERVE AND CAPTURE THE BEAUTY AND BEHAVIOR OF THESE INCREDIBLE ANIMALS.

Photographing reptiles requires a specific approach, considering the particularities of these cold-blooded animals. In the Mindelo area, rich in biodiversity, it is possible to find a variety of species such as lizards, snakes and tortoises, which inhabit both forested areas and rocky and aquatic areas. Photographic trips are planned to maximize sighting and image capture opportunities, offering complete immersion in the reptile habitat. Close-up photography techniques and the use of macro lenses are often employed to highlight scale details and color patterns. Furthermore, it is essential to respect the safety and well-being of animals, maintaining an appropriate distance and minimizing interference with their natural behavior.

Experience Level

Everyone is welcome, although the tour is aimed at photographers with reflex cameras (with or without a mirror) and telephoto lenses, with experience in wildlife photography. I recommend that you have some familiarity with your camera, as I don't know all the existing models and you may have to change some settings to try a new technique.

Before departure, in the briefing and during the walk, you will have the opportunity to discuss the settings, I will give you several tips to make the most of the tour and you are free to ask any questions.
